Dan Carroll spent years inside the K-12 system — first as a Teach For America teacher, then as Director of Data & Technology at STRIVE Prep in Denver, Colorado.[4] In that role, Carroll watched the same frustration play out repeatedly: every new educational software application required its own custom data integration with the district's Student Information System. Each integration was a one-off project — time-consuming, technically fragile, and ultimately a barrier that prevented teachers from adopting tools that might genuinely help students.
